Candidates RPL

About Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

Many people have skills and knowledge that enables them to gain a qualification without completing a training program or course.

These skills and knowledge - that would have otherwise been gained through undertaking an accredited course - may have been developed through some other form of study, formal training, self-tuition, work experience or life experience.

The skills and knowledge that you have previously gained must be current, that is, you can still do today what you learned yesterday or five years ago, and you have knowledge of current practice.

The individual needs to provide MARCSTA with evidence of their prior learning if they wish to have their knowledge and skills recognised.
